The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), together with the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), is proud to present a unique summit focused on undergraduate public health and global health education. The 2016 Undergraduate Public Health and Global Health Education Summit, a one-day event, will bring together current and future leaders from institutions offering baccalaureate degrees in public health, global health, global public health, as well as those with undergraduate majors related to these fields. The 2016 Summit is the fifth annual event exploring issues related to the development and growth of undergraduate education.
The Summit is Sunday, March 20 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Tom Farley, CEO of The Public Good Projects and Former Commissioner of Health for New York City. Speakers will discuss topics such as faculty development, assessment and evaluation of curriculum, attracting students to public health, and the links between academia and practice. In addition, the 2016 Riegelman Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Public Health Education will be presented during the summit luncheon. Sunday evening will feature poster presentations and an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues at a networking reception. View the draft schedule.
