Building on her prior research in the area, Dr. Deborah Nelson, associate professor in epidemiology and biostatistics in Temple University’s College of Public Health, details the link between bacterial vaginosis and an increased risk of miscarriage in the latest edition of the Maternal Child Health. As part of her research, Dr. Nelson recommends early screening of women and partners to prevent miscarriage.
