Texas A&M Graduate Students Secure National Public Health Research Poster Presentation

Graduate students Ms. Colette Nickodem and Ms. Xiao Zhang of the Texas A&M School of Public Health have been selected to participate in the Delta Omega National Honorary Society in Public Health research poster presentations at the American Public Health Association (APHA) annual meeting. Ten of the last eleven years one or more of Texas A&M graduate students have had research posters selected to be among an elite group nationwide to present at APHA, which this year will be in San Deigo, CA in November.

Ms. Zhang’s research is on “Family history of prostate cancer and age-related patterns of testosterone among US males: NHANES 2003-2004,” and Ms. Nickodem’s research is “Interferon epsilon in the reproductive tract of healthy and genital herpes Simplex Virus infected pregnant women: Results of a pilot study.”
