Texas A&M: Students Place Third in National CLARION Case Competition

Mr. Travis Burdick, a graduate student at the Texas A&M School of Public Health, Ms. Soumya Pathrui (medicine) and Ms. Macy Anderson (nursing) won third place in the National CLARION Case Competition held Minnesota April 12-13. Dr. Jerry Carrino, instructional professor at the Texas A&M School of Public Health, served as the team’s advisor.

Student teams comprised of at least two disciplines were given a case and charged with creating a root cause analysis. The team presented their analysis to a panel of interprofessional judges that evaluated their analysis in the context of real-world standards of practice. The Texas A&M Health Science students received a shared award of $2,500 for their third place finish.
