ASPPH Student Leadership Institute Registration Deadline Extended
The 2018 ASPPH Student Leadership Institute has been expanded into a full day and a half event on Saturday, November 10 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PT and Sunday, November 11 from 7:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. PT at the San Diego Convention Center in Room 4. The Institute is a skill-building and networking opportunity for student leaders from ASPPH-member institutions and is planned by the ASPPH Student Services Forum.
Registration is required and each ASPPH-member institution is invited to send two students to the institute. Members wanting to sponsor more than two students will be accommodated on a space available basis. The deadline to register is Friday, November 2 and the registration fee is $199/student.

Student Leadership Institute
We are excited to announce that the 2018 Student Leadership Institute is OPEN! This year’s institute has been expanded to a day and a half of programming, including sessions on unconscious bias and Writing Is Public Health. Members may still send up to two students.
Public Health Service Day – 11/10
This service event is hosted as part of the ASPPH Student Leadership Institute, before the APHA Annual Meeting and Student Assembly meetings. Public Health Service Day gives public health students from across the country an opportunity to get outside the conference walls, meet peers from ASPPH member institutions, and to give back to the host community of San Diego. This Is Public Health Grad Fair 11/14
Join us in San Diego California on November 14 for the last This Is Public Health Graduate School Fair of 2018. This fair will be held during the APHA Annual Meeting and is a great chance to meet over 50 ASPPH member schools and programs. Representatives from SOPHAS will also be attending to answer all of your application questions.

Health Professions Week 11/5-11/9
ASPPH and This Is Public Health will be participating in the 2018 Health Professions Week, November 5 to 9. This event is 5 days of exciting virtual activities lined up for high school and undergraduate students to explore 20 health professions. The event kicks off on Monday, November 5 with keynote addresses by two dynamic speakers sure to continues with an Health and Wellness panel, #HPWChat on Twitter, virtual fairs, and interactive webinar sessions to prepare students for an academic and professional career in the health professions.
