Tulane Professor Tackles the Divide between “Hard” and “Soft” Science

In the latest issue of Public Health Reports, Dr. Mark VanLandingham, Keller Professor in the department of global health systems and development at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, addresses the not-so-subtle divide that can often be found between so-called “soft” and “hard” science. His article takes on the terminology, positing that it is often used to separate the more physical sciences from the more abstract.
