Mr. Anoop Jain, a 2013 graduate of the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, was one of six Tulane alumni named to Forbes’ 30 under 30 series of lists highlighting entrepreneurs under the age of 30.
Mr. Jain is included in the social entrepreneurs group, a collection of innovative minds trying to solve the word’s problems, according to Forbes.
Mr. Jain’s organization is Sanitation and Health Rights in India (SHRI), an organization he founded while still pursuing his master’s of public health. SHRI builds toilets that collect human waste, then uses the methane created to power generators. The generators power water filtration systems that provide clean, safe water at a low cost.
