A postgraduate research project training opportunity is currently available at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Water (OW). The appointment will be served with the Water Security Division (WSD) in Washington, DC.
Applicants must have received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering; public health; emergency management; physical, biological, and environmental sciences; or environmental policy within five years of the desired starting date or must be a student currently enrolled in a U.S. college or university pursuing a graduate degree.
The appointment will initially be for one year and may be renewed up to three additional years upon EPA recommendation and subject to availability of funding. The participant will receive an annual stipend ranging from $43,057 up to $52,668, depending on degree level. No funding will be made available to cover travel costs for pre-appointment visits, relocation costs, tuition and fees, or a participant’s health insurance. The participant must show proof of health and medical insurance.The participant does not become an EPA employee.
