Ms. Courtney P. Williams, MPH has been awarded an appointment to the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program. Ms. Williams is an outcomes research doctoral candidate in the Department of Health Care Organization and Policy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. She is also a statistician in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UAB.
Ms. Williams’ research focuses on measuring and understanding cancer-related financial hardship with a focus on insurance literacy. This fellowship will provide an opportunity to develop an independent research program in cancer prevention.
The Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program is a multidisciplinary postdoctoral program that trains future leaders in the field of cancer prevention and control, and her four-year appointment begins in June 2020.Friday Letter Submission, Publish on February 07
