UAB Studies Association of Antenatal Care Attendance with Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes

Dr. Asundep Ndep Ntui, professor in the department of epidemiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health, along with Dr. Pauline E. Jolly, professor in the department of epidemiology, Dr. April P. Carson, assistant professor, and Dr. Kui Zhang, professor in the department of biostatistics, recently published “Antenatal Care Attendance, a Surrogate for Pregnancy Outcome? The Case of Kumasi, Ghana,” which investigated the association of antenatal care (ANC) attendance with adverse pregnancy outcomes (defined as low infant birth weight, stillbirth, preterm delivery or small for gestational age).
