The University at Albany School of Public Health has been approved as a provider of continuing nursing education (CNE) by the Northeast Multistate Division (NEMSD), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). This approval extends until February 14, 2022.
This approval by NEMSD recognizes the University at Albany School of Public Health and its Center for Public Health Continuing Education (CPHCE) as a provider of high-quality CNE, alongside other institutions worldwide that share this distinction. Due to this approval, all CNE activities developed by the University at Albany School of Public Health use ANCC criteria to ensure programming meets top standards for continuing education.
The University at Albany School of Public Health CPHCE has also achieved Accreditation with Commendation through the Medical Society of the State of New York for continuing medical education (CME), accreditation through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing for continuing education for Certified and Master Certified Health Education Specialists (M/CHES®) as well as accreditation as an approved provider of Certified in Public Health (CPH) credits by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
