Undergraduate Student and Public Health major Ms. Teniola Olafuyi has been named as a recipient of the 2019 Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. Students from 64 colleges and universities across New York State were considered for this award.
The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence in the State University of New York system was created in 1997 to recognize students who have best demonstrated, and have been recognized for, the integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts, campus involvement, or career achievement.
Ms. Teniola plans to pursue an MPH with a concentration on public policy in order to advance the rights of underrepresented people. She sees herself in the future in a health policy role in Washington, DC.Tags: Friday Letter Submission
