The University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences hosted a special talk on COVID-19 (the coronavirus) on March 5, 2020, by assistant professor and infectious disease epidemiologist Dr. Andrew Lover.
In his talk, titled “COVID-19 (coronavirus): What We Know, What We Don’t Know, and How We Can Plan within Our Communities,” Dr. Lover provided up-to-the-minute updates on this rapidly evolving situation that has made such a significant impact globally and nationally. He covered the important, practical steps you can do now to prepare yourself and your community, including the most up-to-date Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines for mitigating risk and creating plans in case of a widespread transmission in the western Massachusetts region.
