Faculty and students from the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences presented their research findings over the course of the American Public Health Association 2019 annual meeting held from November 2-6 in Philadelphia, PA.
Research areas presented through poster, oral, and panel discussions include substance use and substance use disorders, including alcohol, marijuana, and opioids, reproductive health, minority health and health disparities, and insurance policy and physician referrals, among the numerous research topics covered.
The UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences also hosted an APHA mixer on the evening of November 4th. This annual event unites faculty, staff, students and alumni attending the conference.
