UNC Active in Work to Increase Immunizations for Childhood Diseases, HPV, Malaria

As part of a state university system, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health works closely with the North Carolina Division of Public Health to disseminate information about immunization policies and best practices. The School’s North Carolina Institute for Public Health provides support to the state’s Immunization Branch by helping host a biennial conference. This year’s event, held July 31 – August 2 in Greensboro, NC, presented updates on immunization recommendations for adults and children and addressed current immunization laws and strategies to increase immunization rates across the state. Conference speakers included national and state experts, university researchers and local clinical providers.
