UNC Gillings School biostatistics students have won four of eight student research awards presented by the International Chinese Statistical Association and Korean International Statistic Society. Their work will be acknowledged during the 2014 Joint Applied Statistics Symposium of the two organizations, to be held June 15-18 in Portland, OR.
“We are very pleased and excited about the nationally-recognized, outstanding research our students are doing,” said Dr. Kosorok, W.R. Kenan Jr. Distinguished Professor and chair of biostatistics, who was one of Mr. Chen’s advisers.
Other winners were from Columbia University, University of Washington, and University of Michigan.
