UNC Develops Podcasts for World Malaria Day

MEASURE Evaluation, a program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Carolina Population Center, includes a number of public healthy faculty from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

The program has developed two podcasts in recognition of World Malaria Day.

Malaria response based on data

Mr. Yazoume Ye, MEASURE Evaluation’s malaria expert, talks about the crucial need for data to inform malaria surveillance and programming and foreshadows a day when program managers can plug in their data to reveal a suite of interventions appropriate for response in their area.

Tanzania and Zanzibar: Two regions; two malaria strategies

Mr. Willis Odek, the chief of party for MEASURE Evaluation’s program in Tanzania, talks about the differences in malaria prevalence between the mainland and Zanzibar and the tailored programs in place for malaria response in each location.
