University of Florida Doctoral Student Awarded Biopharm-Deming Student Scholar Award

Ms. Rachel Zahigian, a doctoral student in biostatistics in the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine, was awarded the Biopharm-Deming Student Scholar Award. The award was established by the American Statistical Association’s Biopharmaceutical Section and the Deming Conference on Applied Statistics to increase the visibility of applied statistics and encourage student participation in scientific conferences.

Ms. Zahigian attended the three-day tutorial sessions at the 74th Annual Deming Conference held last month in Atlantic City. She also presented a poster titled “Novel Response Adaptive Allocations in Factorial Designs: A Case Study.”
