Update Regarding Funding Opportunity Released April 1

In the April 1 issue of the Friday Letter, ASPPH announced a non-research funding opportunity available through the ASPPH/CDC Cooperative Agreement. This week, the CDC Office on Smoking and Health/Epidemiology Branch announced that they have canceled the “Advanced Webinar Series” solicitation.

Please note that the funding opportunity titled “Academic/Practice Partnerships to Impact Population Health in Chronic Disease and Emergency Response” is still open to faculty holding full appointments at ASPPH member schools and programs of public health. This funding opportunity will serve to build collaborations between academic medical centers, schools of public health, state innovation model (SIM) sites, state/local health departments, and health system in a given locality and provide training environments that promote a public and population health approach in their curriculum and training pedagogy.

For more information, please visit: http://www.cdc-cafunding.org/wips/start.htm. Applications are due at ASPPH no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, April 28. We understand this is a tight timeline but hope members will consider applying.

For questions regarding this funding opportunity or the application process, please contact Ms. Patty Mack at grants@aspph.org.
