Student Leadership Institute

We are excited to announce that the 2018 Student Leadership Institute is OPEN!
This year’s institute has been expanded to a day and a half of programming, including sessions on unconscious bias and Writing Is Public Health. Members may still send up to two students.

Public Health Service Day – 11/10

This service event is hosted as part of the ASPPH Student Leadership Institute, before the APHA Annual Meeting and Student Assembly meetings. Public Health Service Day gives public health students from across the country an opportunity to get outside the conference walls, meet peers from ASPPH member institutions, and to give back to the host community of San Diego. This year we will be volunteering with two local organizations in San Diego:

Health Professions Week 11/5-11/9

ASPPH and This Is Public Health will be participating in the 2018 Health Professions Week, November 5 to 9. This event is 5 days of exciting virtual activities lined up for high school and undergraduate students to explore 20 health professions. The event kicks off on Monday, November 5 with keynote addresses by two dynamic speakers sure to continues with an Health and Wellness panel, #HPWChat on Twitter, virtual fairs, and interactive webinar sessions to prepare students for an academic and professional career in the health professions.
