The annual U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) Award showcases interprofessional efforts to improve community health. Applications for the 2019 award, which recognizes a team of health-professional school based collaborators working on interprofessional education (IPE) projects with interprofessional practice partners to influence outcomes (community practice, public health education, and/or research), are due on the extended deadline of Friday March 1.
One overall national awardee will receive the award at the Summer 2019 IPEC Council Meeting in Washington, DC. The winning interprofessional team will receive a $2,000 travel stipend and will present on a joint IPEC and USPHS webinar or continuing education publication highlighting their work.
Additionally, five honorable mention awardees will be invited to attend the Summer 2019 Council Meeting to receive certificates and give poster presentations on their projects. Council Meeting participants will include IPE leaders from the 21 IPEC member associations and USPHS colleagues.
The submission deadline is 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, March 1, 2019. All award applicants will receive notification emails by Monday, April 15.
