The University of Washington School of Public Health launched a newly reimagined magazine in December to highlight the impact and innovation of the School’s research, education, training and engagement with local and global communities.
University of Washington Public Health magazine will publish twice a year by the Office of the Dean. The cover story for the 36-page inaugural issue features the UW’s Population Health Initiative – a unique cross-campus collaboration that involves all of the university’s colleges and schools working together with community partners to solve society’s most challenging health issues.
Previously, the School published Northwest Public Health magazine (produced by the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice) and SPH Connect (a newsletter for alumni, donors and friends of the School). The Office of the Dean combined resources for the new magazine to focus on broader audiences. The School, founded in 1970, produced its first alumni magazine in 1979, called Washington Public Health.Tags: Friday Letter Submission, Publish on December 20
