Washington: Student Selected by HHS Office of Minority Health as 2019 Health Equity Fellow

Ms. Marissa Jauregui, a master’s student in the Community-Oriented Public Health Practice Program at the University of Washington School of Public Health, was selected by the Office of Minority Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to serve as a 2019 Health Equity Fellow for its health equity fellowship program, the Youth Health Equity Model of Practice.

Through this program, Ms. Jauregui will support the Center for Latino Community Health, Evaluation and Leadership Training at California State University, Long Beach, where she will work on a short-term project to help promote obesity prevention in the Latino community.
