WashU: Don’t Forget the Role of Government in Global Health

The term “global health” may be useful in identifying problems that reach beyond national borders, but government policies within those borders are still key to finding solutions, according to experts from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. The authors cited air pollution in Singapore and sex trafficking in South Asia as examples of cross-border public health problems that require strong responses by government authorities.
