ASPPH will hold a special webinar on Friday, October 26 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET, to provide current information about the status and implications of the Trump Administration’s migration and immigration policy changes and their impact on migrant families. The session also will focus on what schools, programs, faculty, and students can do to have their voices heard on immigration and migrant issues, as well as what individuals they can do locally to help affected children and families.
The webinar will feature presentations from various experts including immigration lawyers, Congressional staff, representatives from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association, higher education advocates involved in immigration issues, and the director of child advocacy legal clinic.
Some schools and programs have expressed an interest in holding a local town hall for students, faculty and staff following the webinar. Webinar presenters will provide discussion questions that can help start local conversations. If you are interested in holding such a town hall, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional details.
Additional information and registration details for the webinar are available here.
