Weekly Yoga Classes Effective in Reducing Chronic Back Pain in Low-Income Minorities

Taking a yoga class at least once a week was effective in reducing back pain among low-income minorities in the Boston area, according to a study by Boston University, the University of Washington School of Public Health and the Group Health Research Institute. Previous studies have found yoga effective for back pain in White adults with high socio-economic status. In this study, researchers set out to see if it would work in a racially diverse, lower-income population.
