Presentations from faculty at ASPPH member institutions will be featured at the 2017 Preparedness Summit taking place in Atlanta from April 25-28. The 2017 Summit, Forces of Change: Capabilities, Innovation, & Partnerships, is hosted by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and sponsored by several partner organizations, including ASPPH. As a partner organization, ASPPH served on the Summit’s planning committee. Ms. Elizabeth Van Nostrand (University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health) represented ASPPH along with Ms. Rachel Hauber, ASPPH program manager, on the committee.
Throughout the week, faculty will host sessions that will highlight products developed as part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response (CDC OPHPR) funded Translation, Dissemination, and Implementation of Public Health Preparedness and Response Research and Training project. ASPPH serves as the coordinating center for the project and is sponsoring a poster session on Thursday, April 27 that will showcase the project’s tools and trainings. In an effort to further disseminate the project’s resources, several of them will be on display at an ASPPH-sponsored booth in the Preparedness Summit Exhibit Hall (booth #505).
