West Virginia Faculty Receives Grant for Alzheimer’s Disease Study

Dr. Kim Innes, associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology at West Virginia University School of Public Health was recently awarded a grant for her collaborative work with Marshall University. Dr. Innes, teamed up with Dr. Donald Primerano, of the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University, for a study on Alzheimer’s Disease. Their study, “Effects of Two Simple 12-week Mind-body Programs on Indices of Inflammation, Cellular Aging, and Genomic Profiles in Older Adults with Early Memory Loss,” has received funding from both the WVU-MU Health Grants Partnership as well as the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation.
